BASIC’s Employees and Engineers have a long standing experience in Nitrogen Operations, containing Oil Well Lifting, Nitrified Foam Diverter, Leak Testing of Pipe lines in plants as well as during shutdown, Pig Launcher to clean the sub surface of pipelines, Station Purging etc. These operations are carried out at both offshore and onshore installations.
Safety is at a first-rate in any environment where hydrocarbons are present. BASIC’s nitrogen purging and subsequent nitrogen/helium leak testing helps plant operators complete dangerous jobs during startup operations and maintenance-related shutdowns
Nitrogen is a non hydrocarbon inert gas used for a variety of functions in the drilling, workover and completion phases of oil and gas wells, as well as in pigging and purging pipelines. Enhanced Oil Recovery, reservoir pressure maintenance, nitrogen floods and inert gas lift. Additionally, nitrogen can be used to help prevent flammable gases from igniting and protect tubulars from downhole corrosion.
Nitrogen is also used to displace potentially dangerous gases from pipelines and pressure vessels, as it is inert and hence, nonflammable. Additionally, nitrogen can be used for pressure and leak testing as part of the process of commissioning installations.
